About Us
Our Story: From Healing to Helping
After enduring a series of traumatic events, Jessica found herself face to face with the deep roots of developmental trauma and the profound impact it had on her entire life. Over the course of eight years, her recovery journey included in-patient treatment, support groups, church communities, therapy, medications, and the loving presence of a service dog. Despite all of these supports, lasting relief seemed just out of reach—until she discovered neurofeedback.
Through neurofeedback, Jessica experienced a true turning point. Her brain health was restored, and with clarity and renewed strength, she returned to school with a mission: to help others find hope and healing just as she had.
Alongside her, Zack—her steadfast partner—joined her in the neurofeedback chair. A former athlete who suffered multiple head injuries, Zack had lived with persistent headaches, morning anxiety, and road rage. Neurofeedback brought him peace he hadn’t felt in years, freeing him from daily struggles and reigniting his sense of purpose.
Together, Zack and Jessica, joined by their longtime friend Paula Camarena, founded The Brain Care Clinic in 2020. Built on their own transformative experiences, the clinic was created with one mission: to help others thrive through brain-based care.
Today, Jessica shares her journey of hope and transformation, inspiring others to embrace their own path to change. At The Brain Care Clinic, healing isn’t just possible—it’s personal.

Riley Porter

Riley started her journey of healing during a thirteen-week stay at Aspiro, an outdoor adventure program, when she was fifteen. She attended Alpine Academy, a therapeutic boarding school, during her last two years of high school and a Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS). During this time, she found her passion for helping others and God’s purposes for the world.
Working alongside her mom, Jessica, Riley offers clients a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment during their neurofeedback training. Joining us in 2021, she has been instrumental in helping clients with addiction and codependency find outside resources and healing alongside their neurofeedback training.
She is a role model to her family, friends, and clients, sharing her story of hope and inspiration.

After a successful 23-year career as a real estate agent and broker, Jessica redirected her passion for helping and mentoring others into the field of mental wellness. She drew on the skills she honed in real estate—particularly during her three-year term on the Women's Council of Realtors Orange County board of directors—to develop a luxury brand built on high-end customer service and personal connection.
In 2020, Jessica founded The Brain Care Clinic, bringing a new level of care and attention to the neurofeedback space. Within just three years, she expanded into multiple office locations, a testament to her leadership and commitment to client-centered growth.
Jessica is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology at Regent University and is on track to graduate in Fall 2025. She plans to continue her education in a graduate program to further deepen her expertise and expand her impact in the helping professions.
As our lead technician and coach, Jessica is a natural at helping others connect the dots. She works closely with individuals and families to identify the changes brought about by neurofeedback and provides customized tools and resources to ensure each client gets the most out of their training. Her intuitive coaching style and dedication make her an essential part of each client’s journey toward improved brain health and emotional well-being.
